Kym Bellman, of Cobden band Catch 22, will support Lee Kernaghan
As country music heavyweight Lee Kernaghan rolls into town, bands across the region have grabbed the opportunity to hit the stage and support the pass the hat around tour. Included in the pre-Kernaghan line-up at the Premier Speedway on Saturday is Cobden cover band Catch 22, featuring the vocals of Kym Bellman and Adrian Fratantaro, John Hickey (bass), Peter Sharp (guitar) and Mark Fratantaro (drums). Playing covers of bands such as Killing Heidi, the Living End, Pearl Jam and Hole, Catch 22 will add some energetic rock to the event. Also performing is Warrnambool Irish band Paddy Lie Back, featuring Ciaran Keegan (vocal, guitar), Burke Brandon (fiddle) and Jarrod Irvine (bass, backing vocals). Playing a mix of Celtic and folk music, Paddy Lie Back will add to the diversity of performers at the Pass the Hat Around concert. Keegan said the band was looking forward to playing alongside Kernaghan. "It's the moment very band or musician hopes for, dreams and wishes will happen to them - a chance to perform in front of a capacity crowd", he said.
With the organisers pushing for a diverse range of musical styles, country rock band Streamline, teen vocalist Jacqui C and country musician Tanya Kernaghan will also support the benefit concert.
