WARRNAMBOOL’S Irish bar, the Seanchai, will celebrate St Patrick’s Day next Wednesday with a feast of entertainment and a rousing toast to everybody’s favorite saint. It’s the day when everyone discovers the Irish in themselves, whether it’s genuine ancestry or just a penchant for Guinness and a jig. Seanchai will be open from 11am, hosting a line-up of four bands — The Rubber Band, Paddy Lie Back, O’Keefe Slide and Celtic Cross — playing every kind of music as long as it’s Irish. At 2.55pm, the pub will participate in the world’s biggest toast, joined by revellers around the country, which will be simulcast on radio.
