WARRNAMBOOL music industry figure Lynny Mast will make her concert debut on Sunday.
Mast will perform a feature concert at the Warrnambool Art Gallery from 2.30pm.
While she has performed with others before and has been part of theatre productions, this will be the first time Mast has taken top billing.
Mast has played a key role in the promotion of south-west performers, with her support of emerging talent a particular point of interest.
But now, at 45, Mast has decided to take a step forward into the spotlight.
“I’ve been through an illness and that brought me to the realisation that it’s never too late to have a go at the things you enjoy,” Mast said.
“I have always liked to sing but I have never had that confidence. But I thought, why not give it a go? What’s the worst that can happen?”
Mast will be accompanied by Aradie Walters on piano.
The concert will feature a variety of styles including jazz, contemporary and musical theatre.
