Country rock legends The Dead Livers will hold a local launch for their CD Reaching to the Western Sky. The CD launch will be held at the Hotel Warrnambool on Sunday. South-west band Lost in Suburbia, featuring producer of the Dead Livers album, Peter Bird, will open the festivities about 2.30pm, with the Dead Livers finishing off. Dead Livers pedal steel player Brendan Mitchell (ironically recovering from a liver transplant operation), hopes to make the trip to Warrnambool for the show. At the band's recent Melbourne CD launch he came out of the Austin Hospital for five hours to perform.
