TWO freshly renamed bands will share the stage at the Criterion Hotel on Friday night. The Circle K — formerly known as The Gestalt Effect — has struck out in a new direction since the departure of pianist Neil Jones-Lumby. Guitarist Lee Ronald described the new sound as ultra rock. The trio will be joined by MXB — formerly known as Mixbowl — which re-formed in June this year after being regulars on the Warrnambool originals scene in the late ’90s.
