Peter Daffy and Luke Plumb

Peter Daffy (from Camperdown) has been building acoustic instruments since 1992. A one-time apprentice and co-worker of the renowned mandolin builder Steve Gilchrist, he is also a well established bluegrass guitarist and vocalist. Luke Plumb from Hobart first met Peter at the Cygnet Folk Festival in 1998 and hasn't stopped playing music with him since. They have had various lineups including the "Rare Auld Stock" and "Funky String Band". In 2009 they went out as a duo and in 2011 produced an album of standards.The album incuded a version of Blondie's "Heart of Glass". In the album liner lnotes Peter describes it as "Blondie as played on the porch , and explains that the tune used is one of his called "Peter's return to Birnham"
